About us

  • Feel free to come as you are, no need to dress up unless you want to! Our friendly Greeters will be there to welcome you with smiles.

If you're dropping off kids at Children’s Church or would like prayer from our Prayer Ministry Team, arriving a bit early is a good idea. After the service, we also pray with each other and individual prayer is available at the altar.

During each service, we have teaching, worship, and communion, always open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Expect moments of healing, encouraging words, and spontaneous worship.

On the first Sunday, join us for food and fellowship before the first service and after the second service.

And hey, first-time guests receive a free gift! We look forward to having you with us!

  • The Mission of River Rock Church is to equip believers to fulfill the Great Commission. - Matthew 28:19-20

The Vision of River Rock Church is to equip believers to fulfill the Great Commission through New Covenant Discipleship. - Colossians 1:27

  • At River Rock, we celebrate the belief that every Christian is a minister, called to share the love of Christ in every aspect of their lives. Evangelism is at the core of our mission, recognizing the importance of reaching out and spreading the good news to all. In order to carry this out however, each minister must be equipped to do so.

Our founding verse is Acts 2:42, “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers”. Each of the four aspects, doctrine, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer, informs us how we are to equip each Christian.

DoctrineThe teaching is expository, verse by verse, delving deep into the timeless truths of the Bible.

FellowshipWe highly value fellowship, fostering a sense of community where individuals of all ages and backgrounds come together to support and uplift one another. With a diverse congregation, our church is a reflection of the rich tapestry of God's kingdom.

Breaking BreadWe celebrate Communion in every service, just as the early church did to remember Christ’s sacrifice

PrayerWe are spirit-filled, embracing the transformative power of the Holy Spirit in our worship and daily walk.

  • Our church adheres to the inspiration of Scriptures, the concept of one true God in three persons, the salvation of humanity through Jesus Christ, the present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit, divine healing, water baptism, the imminent return of Jesus Christ for His church, and the belief in heaven and hell based on biblical principles.

  • River Rock Church originated in 2012 when Pastors Rick and Joann McFarland, while attending Charis Bible College, began hosting a Bible study in the home of fellow students who requested them to teach. Initially hesitant to accept the title of pastor, Rick eventually embraced the call. As the group expanded, they moved their gatherings to a clubhouse before officially incorporating River Rock Church on February 14th, 2014. Since then, the church has experienced continual growth, necessitating several location changes, including stints in a downtown hotel and a storefront near Garden of the Gods Rd.
